Showcasing Specialised Container Haulage Solutions with Search-Driven Design

Transport Equipment Services – Website Design & SEO Strategy

Discover how our innovative design and SEO strategies have transformed Transport Equipment Services’ online presence, highlighting their expertise in container haulage.

Client Background

Project Summary

TES lorry

We were engaged by Transport Equipment Services – a Felixstowe-based logistics company – to design and build a fully optimised website that accurately reflects their unique position in the haulage sector. Unlike the average haulier in Felixstowe, TES offers specialist services such as overweight container delivery, European traction, and damaged container handling. This required more than just a brochure-style website – it demanded a content-driven, SEO-targeted platform built from a deep understanding of the industry.

Our Role

End-to-end Website Design

The project was handled from scratch, with all images, copywriting, and SEO research completed in-house. The client provided no written content, we generated all copy based on site visits and stakeholder interviews.

Industry Immersion

To ensure the right keywords and terminology were used, Andy physically sat within the TES office during the early phase of the project. This allowed us to listen, observe, and absorb the actual language used by staff and customers helping us include colloquial and long-tail terms critical for organic SEO success.

Key Features & Solutions

Targeted SEO Architecture

We built the site around strategic keyword mapping aimed at two audiences:

  • Other hauliers needing traction or European haulage services
  • End customers dealing with issues like overweight containers and damaged freight

    Real-world Pain Points → SEO

One major pain point was overweight containers arriving at the Port of Felixstowe, which couldn’t legally be delivered without unpacking (devanning). TES offers a workaround solution that avoids this. A clear differentiator we built into the site’s messaging and search strategy.

    Photography & On-site Content Gathering

Andy regularly visits the site (even weekends) to capture new photos, including driver-submitted shots from across the UK and Europe. These are added to improve the site visually and boost engagement across social channels.

      Staff & Culture Pages

We also created a Meet the Team section with professional photography to humanise the brand and support customer trust and retention.

      Ongoing Retainer & SEO Growth

As with their sister site, Felixstowe Truck Stop, TES is on a monthly retainer. We continually:

      • Add new service pages
      • Update images
      • Improve SEO targeting
      • Align website with LinkedIn content for stakeholder engagement

      Ownership & Hosting Transparency

The site is fully owned and hosted by the client, using their own Cloudways account (as we recommended). This gives them freedom, control, and scalability. No monthly hosting charges from us.
